「岩走る垂水の上のさわらびの萌え出づる春になりにけるかも」は、岩を激しく流れ落ちる滝のほとりから、わらびが新芽を出している、まさに春爛漫の季節になったなあ、という志貴皇子（しきのみこ）の万葉集（巻八・一四一八）に収められた喜びの歌で、清冽で生命力あふれる春の情景と、その変化への感動を歌い上げた傑作とされています。 この短歌にメロディをつけ、アンビエントサウンドに乗せて現代人の耳に聴きやすい音楽作品としてまとめました。

“Iwa hashiru tarumi no ue no sawarabi no moe-idzuru haru ni nari ni keru kamo” is a joyful poem by Prince Shiki, included in the Man’yōshū (Book 8, Poem 1418). It celebrates the arrival of spring, depicting a vivid scene in which bracken shoots begin to sprout beside a waterfall rushing forcefully over rocks. The poem is regarded as a masterpiece for its pure, refreshing imagery and its powerful expression of life and the poet’s emotional response to seasonal change. In this work, the poem has been set to a melody and arranged with ambient sounds, transforming it into a musical piece that resonates gently with the ears of modern listeners.

《岩走る垂水の上のさわらびの萌え出づる春になりにけるかも》 是志贵皇子创作的一首喜悦之歌，收录于《万叶集》（卷八·一四一八）。 这首短歌描绘了岩石间奔流而下的瀑布旁，蕨菜萌发新芽的景象，表达了“春天真正到来了”的感动。 作品以清澈而富有生命力的春日风景，细腻地歌咏了自然变化所带来的喜悦，被视为《万叶集》中的杰作之一。 本作品为这首短歌谱写旋律，并融入环境音乐（Ambient Sound），将其整理为一首更贴近现代人听觉的音乐作品。

MAYON（万葉音）（Acoustic Set）で一曲歌ってみました。 「悩んでも仕方のないことを思い悩むくらいなら、 一杯の濁り酒を飲むほうがいい」 ——そんな意味をもつ、1300年以上前の 大伴旅人の歌を、ブルージーに、 現代語訳も交えて歌っています。

This is an acoustic performance of a poem from the Manyōshū, Japan’s oldest poetry collection. Written over 1,300 years ago by Ōtomo no Tabito, the poem says: “If there is no clear answer, it may be better to drink a cup of cloudy sake.” I sing this ancient poem in a blues style, with a modern Japanese interpretation.

这是一首来自《万叶集》的古代日本诗歌的弹唱表演。 这首诗由大伴旅人创作于一千三百多年前， 表达的意思是： “如果烦恼没有答案， 不如喝一杯浊酒。” 我用布鲁斯风格演唱这首古老的诗， 并加入了现代日语的解释。
